When is the RSVP response dealine?
You can RSVP as early as you want, since it will help us plan, but at the latest, please respond by March 1st, 2025.
If you need more time to RSVP, please let us know.
What costs should I expect?
The rooms range between €50 and €80 per night, and a voluntary contribution would be greatly appreciated to help us bring together our German and Canadian communities for this special event. Once we have a confirmed list of attendees in April, we will allocate the rooms accordingly. If you have any preferences, please don’t hesitate to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone’s wishes.
Regarding food, Saturday is fully covered by us. For the other days, a voluntary donation of approximately €15 per day would be warmly welcomed. However, please don’t let this be a barrier—pay whatever you can. Your presence is far more valuable to us than any contribution.
How can payments be made to the couple for accommodation?
E-transfer would be best, but other forms of payments would likely work too! Please e-transfer Genevieve to gvlumsden@gmail.com if sending Canadian currency. Please transfer to Constantin at DE90 1203 0000 1067 7670 44 if sending German currency.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes, there will be food and drinks. Genna and I are not foodies, so don't expect Michelin himself to cook, but the plan is that meals over the weekend will be largely provided (see schedule on the homepage). Genna and Conna are still working out the food details so hang tight...
If you feel like it, any contribution in form of salads, sides or cakes will be appreciated! Please let us know if you'd like to bring some food to share or if you are willing to help us with food logistics during the wedding weekend. We have a big, fully equipped kitchen. This is an unstaffed event, only friends and family will be there. A lot of the food will be pre-organized, but we will need extra hands to distribute it and tidy up. Think cottage weekend vibes.
DRINKS - We will have an open bar for the weekend - however, without bartender. You'll be able to pour your own beer and wine and mix our favourite cocktails. If you have any special liquid inclinations, feel free to bring whatever you have in mind.
What to wear
Friday - casual/semi-formal garden party. Saturday - formal, but what ever makes you feel confident and special.
Sunday- casual, chill.
Additional attire -for walks, soccer, spikeball, swimming, sauna and anything glitter, sparkling or glowing to light up the dance floor is recommended.
Will the ceremony be inside or outside?
We hope to be outside for most of the weekend, including the ceremony. However we have a lot of inside space available as back up if needed.
What will the weather be like?
The average temperature in June ranges between 23°C / 13°C with an average of eight days of rain. Please, nobody upset Zeus between now and the wedding and we should be fine.
Are there any fun activities to do in the area?
Apart from being close to Berlin, there are lakes in the area for quick swims during the weekend. There is nature and famers fields around the venue to go for a walk. On site, there is green space for games, a small pool and sauna.
For travel tips, please visit "Travel" on our website with a Google map with further information on what to do before and/or after the wedding.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, we have lots of space in the back of the venue for parking (see venue map). The green space will also be used for soccer or spikeball, so please park efficiently and close to the entrance.
Please do not park on the road since it is used to move farming equipment.
